A little about me.
My name is Susan lemon and I have Ovarian Cancer.
I was diagnosed in December 2011 after having hernia surgery. I went in for what i thought was a routine hernia surgery all looked well by my Omentum was twisted with my colon and being pushed through my hernia due to it being tangled the Omentum needed to be removed. Standard procedure for anything being removed is to have it biopsied it looked like a normal Omentum no'one not even my Dr. expected it to come back with cancer cells, But it did. I received a call within a week of the surgery and I was asked to come in. Where i learned I had Ovarian Cancer. after multiple MRI's and cat scans countless trips to the Dr. to have my blood drawn I had been poked and prodded more in a month than i had been in all of my life. I had an x'ray done on my lungs to check for any abnormalities. the biggest fear was that the cancer metastisised to other parts of my body including the colon the kidneys the liver and the lungs. The xray showed clear lungs. :) January 2012 time to ring in the new year. While most were celebrating i was preparing for the biggest fight of my life. My fist step in the fight was my complete hysterectomy wich took place in the first weeks of January.
